How to Disable Google Buzz

Okay earlier the troll made an article about Google Buzz. After connecting it with a few of my personal websites, twitter , youtube and others. It felt like all the privacy was gone.

How to Disable Google Buzz

There’s a quick and easy way to disable Google Buzz, but for me I like to be thorough.

Skip to step 3 if you want the fast version.

Step 1. Click on “connected sites”

Step 2. Remove all the sites that you have connected.

Step 3. On the bottom of your screen select “turn off Buzz”

*update : after all the controversy that Google Buzz started. When you select the “Google Buzz Off” button it now displays a new option to just hide Buzz or delete all posts and never let Google Buzz in your sight. So choose your option accordingly.

That should do it. Google Buzz should be disabled

Today Google Releases Google Buzz, What is it?

Today was different as you log into your gmail account. Google Buzz appears, and those who chose to participate ended up already pre-selected to follow anyone on their contact list. Afterward you are able to connect to many different websites. Flickr, twitter, and even the Lau Explorer was there to be integrated with.

Google’s response to facebook status updates, and twitters quick messaging system.

What Google Buzz allows you to do is share and show videos, pictures, movies and more. Watch the video below to see more. For now the exposure of almost all my contacts on gmail (work, personal) are all mixed together. Signing up for Buzz may let them see even more then whats already out there online.

But then it is a easy way to communicate with everyone that has gmail. And lets face it that’s pretty much everyone.

Illegal Upload of New Super Mario Bros Results in $1.5m Fine

James Burt with an unidentified companion. Was caught uploading the New Super Mario Brothers game online for users to download. Super Mario Bros Wii, which was due for official release on November 12, 2009, was copied and offered by Burt online from November 6. Upon upload thousands of users had already downloaded the game. Once Nintendo was alerted they hired investigators which led the path straight to James Burt’s location.

Once prosecuted a $1.5 million dollar fine was issued. This is supposedly the amount that was loss since the game was pirated.

What we say is that either way games are going to be pirated. Whether or not its James, someone else will upload the game in due time. Pirates will download regardless, so the equivalent loss of 1.5 million seems a bit ridiculous.

But why is that James was caught and the millions of pirate games out there, no one has really been prosecuted? We did a little investigating and the great people at Reddit.com was able to find the reason.

Go Reddit.com if the picture didn’t prove that he wasn’t the brightest, they sure found out the truth.

Visual Device to Help the Hearing Impaired

This visual device helps people who are deaf “hear” what they are saying. It works by taking the person’s voice and speaking and converts it into text. Suhyun Kim, a student at Pratt Institute, created the device.

It definitely looks cool and very futuristic

What We Think

Now this is great that its a full on touch tablet, and a 10 inch screen is great to play with. But how can you make a device with NO USB, you can’t plug in any of your USB devices? You can’t use it as a cell phone. And expanded memory capacity is impossible.

Seems to us your just buying a much larger version of the Ipod Touch.

As for us here at LauExplorer.com we are probably going to wait until they allow us to plug in our USB devices and use it more as a PC, laptop, netbook. And less like a Kindle, Ipod Touch.

Apple Reveals New Touch Pad Device, Apple (I-Pad)

Finally the announced Apple I-Pad has been revealed. Apple is filling the gap that was between the smartphone and that laptop. The Netbook does a great job in between. But the world is moving into a touch screen based platform. The I-Pad is suppose to be superior for browsing, email, photos, e-books, and videos compared to your standard Netbooks.

We will give you more coverage as more is revealed. For now enjoy the photos from the convention.

For me the Tech, I am very antsy and choosy about my computers. I cant stand it when it runs slow, or lags, I cant stand it if I have to wait for things to load. I am very impatient. I always buy the best, top processors and computing power just so I dont have to deal with waiting.

Now the netbook isnt something that you are going to throw away your PC. But the portable solution surprised me. I was able to run adobe master collection just fine, as well as surf the web fairly quickly.

It was a great choice for me to use on the go.

Main Reasons to buy:

I installed emulators so I can play any Nintendo, Super-Nintendo, Genesis games on it
You can travel anywhere and use the wi-fi to surf and have all your online needs ready
Portable AIM, Skype device you can use anywhere.

My favorite use is playing video games and having it right next to me. I can play games, and chat online. Now that’s some sweet multi-tasking.

Removing The Auto-Re newel on Xbox LIVE
A normal gold member ship is $50 and auto-renews on xbox live, yearly. And careful if your card expires or you just try and not pay. Microsoft will send you to a debt collector and go after you. So here is how you can switch off auto-renewal.

1. Log into www.xboxlive.com/accounts
2. Click on Membership level.
3. XBOX Live switch off auto renewal

After clicking on it Microsoft will try and sell you on xbox live and how you shouldn’t switch it off etc…etc…click through about 4 pages worth of this and you’ll be at the promise land of no more auto-renewal

Verbatim 96542 8.5 GB 8X Dual-Layer DVD+R, 30-Disc Spindle

A Great buy. I use to use Memorex thinking okay its $10 bucks cheaper and I get a 50 pack. With the Memorex I get about 30 burned disc and 20 coasters. While Verbatim gives me a 30 pack for 40 bucks. But I get 30 actual disc and 0 coasters.

I’ve already waited long enough for the disc to burn, now I have to re-burn? Trust me sometimes its better to pay a little bit more. The Verbatim is definitely the right choice if you want high quality disc that don’t coaster.
