Removing The Auto-Re newel on Xbox LIVE
A normal gold member ship is $50 and auto-renews on xbox live, yearly. And careful if your card expires or you just try and not pay. Microsoft will send you to a debt collector and go after you. So here is how you can switch off auto-renewal.

1. Log into www.xboxlive.com/accounts
2. Click on Membership level.
3. XBOX Live switch off auto renewal
xboxliveautorenewal

After clicking on it Microsoft will try and sell you on xbox live and how you shouldn't switch it off etc...etc...click through about 4 pages worth of this and you'll be at the promise land of no more auto-renewal
